A decade later Ross Kemp still likes to surprise us... SimonSaysMedia reflects on Barbara Windsor MBE

In a different style to our normal posting  SimonSays would like to reflect on a much loved soap icon Peggy Mitchell played by Barbara Windsor MBE who will be bowing out to of the role she has played for over 30 years

With the Mitchells in turmoil, Babs Windsor  has decided to bow out of her role as Peggy Mitchell who will be leaving the square one last time but the question remains 'Can Grant save Phil?' The mitchell's have had a difficult few months with Phil's (Steve McFadden) alcholism causing serious liver damage and ending with Liver Cirrhosis and a rumoured Christmas departure. We already know that the upcoming storyline which launched on Friday will be bringing back both Daniella Westbrook who will be playing Sam Mitchell (a role she has played since 1990 on and off but has reprised her role for a brief but short stint for Babs) and more recently after a decade away Ross Kemp returning to says goodye to Peggy (who officially appeared yesterday after recent rumours, sparking the launch of Peggy's Perfect Exit) leaving fans, actors both past and present emotionally torn.

The storyline launched in a strange but still iconic style with Peggy reliving her youth, much to the annoyance of Dot Branning (nee Cotton)played by June Brown  and her going round the sqaure on a milk float and sight-seeing London with her son Phil Mitchell

The scenes which current show runner Dominic Tredwell Collins promises to be "the storyline of the summer" and promises to be a storyline we will never forget
